Red Raspberry Leaf (Rubus idaeus)*: These fluffy, light leaf clusters are well-known as being one of the prime herbs for women's health. Packed full of essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients, red raspberry leaf helps to strengthen and tone the uterus in preparation for a healthy pregnancy. The tonic action of this herb on the uterus can help reduce menstrual cramping, and balance hormones to relieve unpleasant symptoms of PMS. Red raspberry leaf also helps to detoxify the body while alleviating bloating associated with water retention.
Chastetree Berries (Vitex agnus-castus)*: These berries may be small, but they are mighty. Vitex helps to stimulate the pituitary gland to increase or decrease estrogen and progesterone, as required by your body's unique needs. Chastetree can be especially helpful in balancing hormones after using birth control pills, and are invaluable in regulating the menstrual cycle to help with timing conception.
Nettle Leaf (Urtica dioica)*: Nettle is a powerhouse of vitamins and minerals such as vitamins A, B, C, and K, along with iron, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, quercetin, coumarins, lutein, beta-carotene, healthy fats, and all the essential amino acids (just to name a few)! Overall the health benefits of this sneaky stinging leaf include reducing inflammation, maintaining a healthy blood pressure, and providing an abundance of antioxidants to keep your body as happy and healthy as baby needs it to be.
Peppermint (Mentha x piperita)*: Peppermint leaves help to ease digestive issues, relieve tension headaches and migraines, improve energy and sleep quality, and provide that taste of minty freshness we all know and love.
Red Clover Blossoms (Trifolium pratense)*†: These sweet, beautiful flowers of the red clover plant are naturally high in calcium, chromium, magnesium, niacin, phosphorus, potassium, thiamine, and vitamin C. They provide a healthy dose of these vital nourishments as well as phytoestrogens, which help to balance hormones. Red clover is known as an alterative, which means it helps bring the body into balance and alter the ways in which it reacts to stress. We source our red clover blossoms from certified organic local farms, as well as freshly plucked from the wilds of southern Vancouver Island.
