Sleep Balm

Our beloved sleep-inducing balm is consciously created using a clean and simple formulation of jojoba oil, beeswax, and 100% pure and organic essential oils. It contains scents of relaxing lavender, mood-boosting bergamot, soothing chamomile, muscle-melting marjoram, and stress-busting neroli. Gently apply to the chest, soles of the feet, and/or pulse points before bed, and let nature take care of the rest.

Our products are created fresh, for you, with care and commitment to the highest quality possible. Due to the nature of our products, we are unable to accept returns. All orders are shipped from our location in Victoria, BC within 2-5 business days. Please note we currently ship our products within Canada only. All product and shipping prices are in Canadian dollars.

Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis)*: Jojoba is a natural plant wax produced by the seeds of a desert shrub. The seeds, brimming with stored moisture, are collected and cold-pressed to release a liquid similar to our skins sebum. Because jojoba is a plant wax and not an oil, it does not go rancid and is used in our skincare products to maintain maximum shelf life and potency. Jojoba is the ultimate moisturizer, and together with beeswax, it forms the base of our herbal balms due to its abundance of phytonutrients, antioxidants, and vitamin E.

 

Beeswax (Cera alba): Created by worker bees as a layer of protection for their pupae and a safe casing for their honey, beeswax acts similarly on our skin by adding a breathable layer of protection that keeps skins natural moisture in, and invading bacteria out. This provides not only a natural barrier of protection, but a healthy dose of vitamin A and fatty acids which help to speed healing and regulate skin regeneration. We only use the highest quality, 100% pure, unrefined beeswax from Canadian beekeepers.

 

Lavender EO (Lavendula angustifolia)*: Lavender essential oil has been proven to enhance mood, combat stress and fatigue, and relieve muscle tension. It is one of the choice oils for preparing the body for rest. We utilize a specific strain of lavender (lavendula angustifolia), also known as 'true lavender', which contains almost no camphor and is highly regarded for its ability to induce a deep and restful sleep.

 

Bergamot EO (Citrus bergamia)*: Bergamot essential oil works to alleviate feelings of tension, stress, and anxiety, while specifically targeting muscle spasms. Bergamot has been shown to help balance hormones, and can even relieve symptoms of PMS (you're welcome)!

 

German Chamomile EO (Matricaria chamomilla)*: German chamomile produces a gentle yet powerful, green-hued essential oil which helps to relieve joint and muscle pain, headaches, indigestion, and even acne! It is naturally high in apigenin - a phytochemical which binds to the brain receptors responsible for inducing sleep. Inhaling and absorbing this essential oil helps to relax the body and prepare for a long and restful sleep.

 

Spanish Marjoram EO (Thymus mastichina)*: Spanish marjoram essential oil works to calm hyperactivity, ease colds and headaches, and relieve muscle tension. This oil works wonders to reduce feelings of anxiety, nervousness, and depression - allowing the mind to wind down and relax in preparation for a good night's rest.

 

Neroli (Citrus aurantium ssp amara)*: Neroli essential oil comes from the delicate blossoms of the orange tree, and smells fresh, floral, and citrusy. This luxurious oil provides anti-inflammatory and antibacterial action to defend against daily environmental pollutants which are absorbed through the skin, while its scent is known to calm stress, anxiety, and restlessness which can interfere with quality sleep.

Apply a small amount to the chest, soles of the feet, and/or pulse points before bed. This product makes an excellent post-bath moisturizer and sleep aid when paired with our Sweet Dreams Bath Salt *insert link here*
